Jeep Rock Crawler

This radical rock crawler was built during 2008 to be rock tough, but it was never intended to be used in off-road competitions. The time invested in this amazing build and the painstaking attention to detail makes this vehicle equally ready for car shows as well as the trails. Beginning with tough powder-coated Jeep Wagoneer frame rails mounting a rollbar and custom aluminum tub, plus updated bodywork including a fiberglass grille, hood, cowl, and aluminum roof. Power is delivered by a Chevy LS1 V-8 engine, upgraded to develop 400 horsepower and mated to a built TH 350 automatic transmission with gear selection using a competition shifter. Tough custom built differentials with 9 inch Ford centers and Dana 60 outers with Currie housings and Detroit Lockers plant the power to the ground, 4-wheel disc brakes provide the 'whoa' and upgraded twin-cylinder power steering gives directional control. Massive 37 inch BF Goodrich RockCrawler tires are wrapped around a set of Walker Evans bead-lock wheels.

The cockpit is equipped with a custom dash and new gauges to monitor this beast's vital functions, a removable steering wheel, RockCrawler seats with harnesses, and a heater. Wiring was professionally installed. Other outstanding features include complete lighting including headlights, signals, tail, and brake lights, a removable windshield, custom bumpers and nerf bars, a Warn winch with soft cable, and Nitrogen-filled front bump stops and adjustable springs.

A special dump-truck liner material covers the Jeep's belly pan and helps the vehicle to slide over rocks. Built to go anywhere anytime and over anything nature can throw at it, this incredible rock crawler is anything but subtle. That is, except for the ghost flames adorning the hood! This Jeep is always a hit at car shows and always ready to play with friends and rock crawling enthusiasts. It has less than 40 test hours and is reported by the consignor to be offered in nearly new condition and a joy to drive that always turns heads wherever it goes.
